🌿 HEART DISEASE – AYURVEDIC KETO A–Z GUIDE


A – Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna)

Role: Best Ayurvedic cardiotonic (Hridya). Reduces LDL, strengthens heart muscles.

Preparation:

  • Arjuna bark powder – 1 tsp

  • Boil in 1 cup water β†’ reduce to Β½ cup

  • Filter

Consumption Time:

  • Morning empty stomach OR

  • Night before sleep

Join With:

  • Β½ tsp ghee (improves absorption)

  • Can combine with warm almond milk (keto-friendly)


B – Badam (Almonds)

Role: Healthy fats, improves HDL, reduces inflammation.

Preparation:

  • Soak 5 almonds overnight

  • Peel skin in morning

Consumption Time:

  • Morning (after Arjuna decoction)

Join With:

  • 1 tsp cow ghee

  • Cinnamon pinch (for insulin balance)


C – Coconut (Fresh & Oil)

Role: Main keto fat source, improves metabolism, reduces triglycerides.

Preparation:

  • Fresh coconut slices OR

  • Cold-pressed coconut oil (1–2 tbsp/day)

Consumption Time:

  • Breakfast cooking fat

  • Mid-morning fat shot

Join With:

  • Curry leaves

  • Black pepper

  • Turmeric


D – Drumstick Leaves (Moringa)

Role: Clears blood channels (Rakta shodhana), reduces BP.

Preparation:

  • Steam lightly

  • Cook in coconut oil with jeera

Consumption Time:

  • Lunch

Join With:

  • Grated coconut

  • Rock salt (Saindhava)


E – Elaichi (Cardamom)

Role: Reduces Kapha & Ama (toxins).

Preparation:

  • Powder 2 pods

  • Add to herbal tea

Consumption Time:

  • After meals

Join With:

  • Ginger tea

  • Tulsi leaves


F – Flax Seeds

Role: Omega-3 source (plant-based), anti-inflammatory.

Preparation:

  • Dry roast

  • Powder

  • 1 tbsp daily

Consumption Time:

  • Mix in buttermilk OR

  • Add to vegetable curry

Join With:

  • Cumin powder

  • Curry leaf powder


G – Garlic (Lasuna)

Role: Reduces cholesterol, prevents clotting.

Preparation:

  • Crush 1 clove

  • Rest 10 minutes

  • Swallow raw OR sautΓ© lightly in ghee

Consumption Time:

  • Morning before breakfast

Join With:

  • Honey (if not strict keto)

  • Warm water


H – Haldi (Turmeric)

Role: Anti-inflammatory, artery protector.

Preparation:

Role: Reduces cholesterol absorption.

Preparation:

  • 1 tsp in warm water

Role: Improves digestion, reduces Ama accumulation.

Preparation:

  • Boil 1 tsp in water

  • Drink warm
