🔷 General Therapeutic Principles

  • Eat every 3–4 hours (small frequent meals)

  • Combine Low-GI + Protein + Fiber + Healthy Fat

  • Avoid: refined sugar, maida, white rice excess, deep fried foods

  • Prefer: steaming, boiling, sautéing in minimal oil

  • Night meal: light + early (before 7:30 PM ideal)

  • Soak grains/legumes 6–8 hrs to reduce GI


🅰 A – Amaranth (Rajgira)

GI: Low
Best For: Diabetes, gluten-free diet, gut repair

Preparation:

  • Soak 4–6 hrs

  • Cook as porridge with water or diluted coconut milk

  • Can make soft rotis

Consumption Time:

  • Breakfast / Early dinner

Join With:

  • Sprouted green gram

  • Flax seeds powder

  • Curd (if tolerated)


🅱 B – Barley (Jau)

GI: Very Low
Best For: Blood sugar control, cholesterol

Preparation:

  • Soak overnight

  • Pressure cook

  • Make barley kanji / barley vegetable soup

Consumption Time:

  • Lunch substitute for rice

  • Evening soup

Join With:

  • Mixed vegetables

  • Moong dal

  • Lemon + cumin


🅲 C – Chickpeas (Chana)

Preparation:
