CANCER SUPPORT DIET | THERAPEUTIC 
(Complementary nutritional support – always follow oncologist advice)

⚠️ This is a supportive diet, not a replacement for chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or medical treatment.
Goal:
• Reduce inflammation
• Improve immunity
• Support gut health
• Maintain strength & body weight
• Reduce treatment side effects


A – APPLE
Benefits: Fiber (pectin), antioxidants, supports gut microbiome.
Preparation:
• Stewed apple (lightly boiled with cinnamon) – easy digestion
• Fresh sliced (if no mouth sores)
Best Time: Morning or mid-morning snack
Combine With: Soaked almonds / Oats
Avoid: With heavy fried food


B – BROCCOLI
Benefits: Sulforaphane (anti-cancer phytochemical), detox support
Preparation:
• Steam 3–5 minutes only (do not overcook)
• Add olive oil + black pepper
Best Time: Lunch
Combine With: Dal / Brown rice / Quinoa
Avoid: Deep frying


C – CARROT
Benefits: Beta-carotene, immunity support
Preparation:
• Light steam or raw grated (if digestion good)
• Carrot + beet + ginger juice (fresh only)
Best Time: Morning juice (empty stomach)
Combine With: Lemon drops for vitamin C boost
Avoid: Store-bought packaged juice


D – DATES
Benefits: Natural iron, energy support
Preparation:
• Soak overnight (2–3 pieces)
• Blend in almond milk
Best Time: Evening fatigue time
Combine With: Nuts
Avoid: If blood sugar uncontrolled


E – EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Benefits: Anti-inflammatory fats
Use:
• 1–2 tsp raw over salads
• Low heat cooking only
Best Time: Lunch or dinner
Combine With: Steamed vegetables
Avoid: High flame cooking


F – FLAXSEEDS
Benefits: Omega-3, hormone balance support
Preparation:
• Dry roast lightly
• Powder and store airtight
Dose: 1 tbsp daily
Best Time: Morning with warm water or smoothie
Combine With: Curd / Oats
Avoid: Whole seeds (poor absorption)


G – GARLIC

• Crush and rest 10 minutes before cooking
• Add to soups and dal

Preparation:
• Fresh juice diluted
• Amla chutney
Best Time: Morning
Combine With: Honey (if no diabetes)
Avoid: Empty stomach if acidity


J – JOWAR (SORGHUM)
Benefits: Gluten-free energy source
Preparation:
• Jowar roti
• Jowar porridge
Best Time: Lunch
Combine With: Vegetable curry
Avoid: Refined flour


K – KALE / GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES
Benefits: Detox support
Preparation:
• Steam lightly
• Add sesame seeds
Best Time: Lunch
Combine With: Lemon juice
Avoid: Overcooking


L – LENTILS (DAL)
Benefits: Plant protein
Preparation:
• Pressure cook with turmeric
