🌡 FEVER DIET – A to Z THERAPEUTIC PLAN

Principle During Fever

  • Light, easy to digest

  • Hydrating

  • Warm (not very hot, not cold)

  • Small frequent meals (every 2–3 hours)

  • Avoid oil, fried, spicy, heavy protein


🅰 A – Apple Stew

Why: Easy digestion, mild energy, reduces weakness
Preparation:

  • Peel 1 apple

  • Cut pieces

  • Boil in 1 cup water 5–7 minutes

  • Mash lightly

  • Optional: pinch cinnamon

Consumption Time: Morning / Evening snack

Join With:

  • Thin rice porridge

  • Warm herbal tea


🅱 B – Barley Water

Why: Excellent hydration & reduces body heat

Preparation:

  • 2 tbsp barley

  • Boil in 3 cups water (20 min)

  • Strain

  • Add few drops lemon + pinch salt

Consumption Time: Throughout day (every 2–3 hrs small quantity)

Join With:

  • Tender coconut water (alternate)

  • Light khichdi meal


🅲 C – Curd Rice (Mild Fever Stage Only)

Why: Probiotic support (avoid if cold, cough severe)

Preparation:

  • Soft cooked rice

  • Add diluted fresh curd

  • Add pinch roasted cumin powder

Consumption Time: Afternoon

Join With:

  • Boiled carrot

  • Pomegranate seeds


🅳 D – Dal Water (Moong Dal)

Why: Light protein, easy digestion

Preparation:

  • Boil yellow moong dal

  • Strain water portion

  • Add pinch turmeric + cumin

Consumption Time: Lunch / Early dinner

Join With:

  • Soft rice

  • Steamed vegetables


🅴 E – Electrolyte Drink (Homemade)

Why: Prevents dehydration

Preparation:

  • 1 glass boiled cooled water

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • Pinch salt

  • Few drops lemon

Consumption Time: After sweating / high fever

Join With:

  • Plain toast

  • Banana


🅵 F – Fruit Mash (Banana / Papaya)

Why: Energy & easy digestion

Preparation:

  • Mash ripe banana OR papaya

  • No milk mixing

Consumption Time: Mid-morning

Join With:

  • Warm water

  • Herbal tea


🅶 G – Ginger Tulsi Herbal Tea

Why: Reduces inflammation & improves immunity

Preparation:

  • Boil water

  • Add crushed ginger + 4 tulsi leaves

  • Simmer 5 minutes

Consumption Time: Morning / Evening

Join With:

  • Honey (after cooling slightly)

  • Light biscuit


🅷 H – Homemade Vegetable Clear Soup

Why: Nutrient support + hydration

Preparation:

  • Boil carrot, beans, bottle gourd

  • Strain clear water

  • Add little salt & pepper

Consumption Time: Dinner

  • Soft rice

Why: Light fermented food, easy digestion

Preparation:

  • Fresh soft idli

  • Avoid oily chutney

Why: Improves digestion

Preparation:

  • Boil 1 tsp cumin in water

  • Cool slightly

Consumption Time: After meals

Join With:

  • Dal water

  • Khichdi


🅺 K – Khichdi (Moong Dal + Rice)

Why: Complete light meal

Preparation:

  • Rice + yellow moong

  • Cook very soft

  • Add turmeric

  • No heavy masala

Consumption Time: Lunch

Join With:

  • Ghee (few drops only)

  • Steamed vegetables


🅻 L – Lemon Honey Warm Water

Why: Detox & hydration

Preparation:

  • Warm water

  • Few drops lemon

  • 1 tsp honey

Consumption Time: Morning empty stomach (if no throat irritation)

Join With:

  • Apple stew


🅼 M – Mashed Potato (Plain)

Why: Easy carbohydrate energy

Preparation:

  • Boil potato

  • Mash

  • Add pinch salt

Consumption Time: Afternoon

Join With:

  • Dal water

  • Vegetable soup

Preparation:

  • Soak sabudana

  • Cook soft

  • Add little salt

Join With:
